The 2024-2025 version of the "URAP-University Ranking by Academic Performance ", which has been published every year since 2011 by the URAP Research Laboratory, operating within METU, has been published. The ranking, which evaluates the academic performance of 3000 higher education institutions from all over the world, is one of the most comprehensive university rankings in the world.
The performance of the top 3000 universities producing the most publications in the world, in the ranking where the data were retrieved from the Web of Science and InCites databases; Scientific productivity was evaluated according to the following 6 indicators expressing research quality and international reputation: Article (21%), Citation (21%), Total Scientific Document (10%), Total Article Impact (18%), Total Citation Impact (15%) ) and International Collaboration (15%).
Istanbul Medeniyet University (IMU) was featured for the first time in 2019. In 2024-2025 IMU, one of the youngest state universities in Turkey was ranked;
• 34th among 190 universities in URAP Turkish Universities ranking;
• 29nd among 124 state universities in the URAP Turkish Universities ranking.
