In 2023, Istanbul Medeniyet University made its debut in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings, an initiative launched by the University of Indonesia in 2010, which has become a leading global ranking for green campuses and environmental sustainability.
In 2025, it was ranked 672nd among 1745 universities worldwide and 72th among 142 universities in Turkey.
