Center for World University Rankings (CWUR)
The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) is one of the largest academic ranking organizations that measures the quality of education, employability of graduates, quality of faculty, and research performance of universities worldwide.
Launched in 2012 as a project at the Jeddah Governorate in Saudi Arabia, the CWUR rankings quickly attracted global attention. In 2014, CWUR published its first list of the top 1000 universities, and by 2019 it was ranking the top 2000 universities out of nearly 21,000 evaluated institutions. Thus, it has become one of the most comprehensive academic rankings in the world.
Istanbul Medeniyet University, one of the youngest public universities in Turkey, was included in the CWUR World University Rankings for the first time in 2024.
